The Clearance Plate creates a thread shank when sewing buttons in place. Each end is a different thickness for more or less thread shank. It also can be used when sewing over heavy seams to balance the height of the foot. No need for a hank adapter; the Bulky Seam Jumper slips under the back of your presser foot. Two Different Levels,one end is 1/8"thick and the other is 3/16” thick to accommodate jean sewing, pants hems, drapery and a zipper at the bodice.
