Razer Kishi Controller
Razer Kishi Controll...
P100: LATENCY-FREE GAMEPLAY: This controller has zero latency because it connects directly to your device's charging port, which results in immediate button response, unlike wireless Bluetooth controllers that cause lag. This feels great in your hands, feels solid, great build quality. Very easy to connect and use, the buttons are very responsive. Love the convenience of being able to game anywhere and so far it has worked great! Working just perfect to Samsung Galaxy S20So great. Bought this for use with xCloud, and it's genuinely revolutionary, turning my phone into a portable console. The controller itself is sturdy and well made, sticks feel great, face buttons are nice and responsive. The d-pad may be a little divisive as it's somewhat mushy, but I quite like it. The small triggers take some getting used to, and they don't feel as nice and smooth as the ones on the Xbox, but they're usable. Everything works perfectly with xCloud, both on the app and via the browser. I don't have the Xbox branded version, but everything works as it should, right out of the box, it's literally just the branding that's different, so you can save yourself a few quid by not buying the official Xbox version of the Kishi. I have also used this controller with Stadia and GEForce Now and it works with both of those services. Use on mobile games is a little hit and miss. The list of games the Kishi supports is small, and I've found that some games listed as being supported aren't, and some games not listed work fine. There is a Kishi app which includes things like a launcher, which is very helpful. Overall, at least for cloud gaming on the go, this is an exceptional product. It's a pricey product, but it's worth it for gaming on the go. Our phones have gotten powerful lately and this enables them to run older consoles like PS2, Gamecube, PSP, etc under emulation, but playing those consoles with touch controls is just terrible and that's where Razer Kishi saves the day. It's a standard xinput control over USB C so the latency is non-existent and it's very quick and snappy. You can easily play fast-paced games like 2D platformers, Tetris at higher speeds, etc very easily with this device. Also, since it's standard xinput interface, it has excellent support for just about everything that supports a controller. I've tried it with at least a couple dozen emulators across systems at this point and it works great across them all. I was always a PC/Console gamer for my entire life and never considered mobile phone as a viable platform due to me not liking touch controls, but Razer Kishi lets me use emulators with console-quality controllers and that just makes a world of a difference. It's great to be able to play older console games on the go anywhere with you with the same controls that they are designed for. There also are various Android ports of older games such as GTA Trilogy, Half Life 2, Portal and even L4D2 that might be worth checking out. Then there are thousands of Gamecube, PSP games that will work on higher-end phones under emulation which play well with this controller. All in all, one of the best purchases I've made for gaming. It's amazing. Only con is that you miss out on headphone jack. This is understandable though since USB C Audio out support is not consistent across Android devices hence Razer couldn't have possibly designed an Audio out from USB C which would work consistently across devices, hence they probably decided to not add any. The USB C is great for charging otherwise. Expensive, but an amazing product. Worth the purchase if you can find it during sales. 1.
